Join the Drama Club to build confidence and creativity through acting, directing, and stagecraft. Students perform at events like the Singapore Youth Festival and National Day Parade.
Overview
The Drama Club provides students with opportunities to explore theatrical arts and express their creativity through acting, directing, scriptwriting, and stagecraft. They learn essential theatre skills such as voice projection, movement, stage presence, script interpretation, and improvisation, alongside stage management techniques including lighting, sound, props, and costume design.
Over 4 to 5 years, students grow into confident communicators—able to express ideas clearly, manage group dynamics under pressure, and develop empathy by portraying diverse characters and understanding audience perspectives.
What We Do
Training Sessions: Once a week / Tuesdays 3:00 -5.30pm
Competitions/Performances: Singapore Youth Festival 2023 & 2025, National Day Parade (NDP) Performance 2024 @ Padang and Teachers’ Day Skit 2024.
Plays & Learning Opportunities: Watching “Fat Kids are Harder to Kidnap” Play in 2023 and Secondary: The Musical in 2024
Bonding Activities: Team-building experiences during warm-ups where students led the session, celebrating the graduation of Secondary 4 students.
