Education and Career Guidance (ECG) helps Navalites develop a sense of purpose in life. By nurturing self-awareness and self-directedness for lifelong learning, ECG helps them develop a growth mindset, adaptability and a resilient attitude to embrace future opportunities and appreciate the value of all occupations.
At NBSS, we provide Navalites with opportunities for:

● Exploration of opportunities, where Navalites become self-directed and confident to explore and leverage education and career opportunities;

In lower secondary, Navalites begin their ECG journey by understanding their personality, work values, interests and learning styles better. In upper secondary, Navalites focus on exploring industry opportunities and making informed decisions about their post-secondary pathways.

These are some of our ECG programmes at NBSS:
Applied Learning Module@Schools: Navalites deepen their various curriculum subject knowledge linked to various industries and explore potential post-secondary education options related to these industries
World of Work: Navalites take part in a one-week job attachment stint in various industries to learn more about the field they are attached to and how they can develop aptitudes and attitudes necessary for the industry.
Exploring various post-secondary pathways: Our graduating students learn more about various post-secondary pathways, life in Polytechnic, ITE, and Junior Colleges, and explore how they can achieve their potential.
