Programme (Embrace)
The rapid advancement of technology and growing capabilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) will bring about significant changes to the way we learn, work and play. Computing subjects provide support for this effort by providing students with opportunities to acquire useful digital competencies and explore the field of Computing.
Through this skill-based subject, students will:
• develop basic computational thinking skills along with 21st century competencies
• develop digital competencies in using digital tools to create digital artefacts, process information, communicate effectively and solve simple problems
• appreciate the legal, ethical and security issues relating to the use of computers, and
• gain understanding of emerging technologies and the impact of technology on society.
Enrich and Excel
Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a nationwide Game Making Competition.
Since 2020, our Secondary 2 and Secondary 3 CPA students have performed well in the Animation and Game Making Competition organised In 2020, we obtained a Bronze Award, and in 2021 the Gold Award! In 2023, our Navalite Harith Irfan Bin Hasli was awarded Silver in the Animation category, and subsequently in 2024 a Bronze in the Game Making Category. 2024 also saw Joji Quah obtaining a Bronze in the Animation Category.
